Business licenses are not transferable. A new license application, license fee and deposit (if applicable) are required for any change of ownership. The original license must be closed and gross receipts for the final quarter filed.
Mailing Address Changes
Notify the Business Licensing Division in writing or by phone of any change in the mailing address.
A $5 fee is required for all businesses that relocate. You must fill out the Information Change Form (PDF) and bring it to our office to complete your location change. Your business must be re-approved by Zoning and/or Fire.
Notify the Business Licensing Division in writing of a business name change. There is a $1 fee. A new business license application may be required. You must fill out the Information Change Form (PDF) and bring it to our office to complete your name change.
Closing a Business
To close your license, a final Declaration of Gross Receipts form needs to be filed, reporting your final date of business, and all taxes and license fees paid. If your account is in good standings, you may pay your taxes using our online portal.
